Back-cutting of adhesive materials means that the label's fabric is die-cut or die-cut as normal, and the backing paper is cut in some way. Cutback has the following purposes:

1. Remove excess liner. Some labels require a small footprint on both sides of the application, such as various types of printed labels. If printing is carried out under the condition of a small paper edge, the paper edge is easily broken at the time of waste discharge, resulting in downtime and increased waste, and is not conducive to high-speed production. To solve this problem, generally, when printing on a rotary machine, a certain size of paper edge is retained on both sides of the web, which can increase the strength of the paper edge. Prior to waste disposal, a circular knife is used to continuously cut the excess backing paper on the base paper and die-cut with the front side, and the excess backing paper and the paper edge are removed together at the end of the waste discharge, so that the label has both a small backing edge and It will not affect the production due to the low edge strength. The above-mentioned undercut can also be carried out after being discharged. This method is suitable for various types of labeling machines.

2. Easy to remove the bottom paper. Some overall or large labels require quick release of the backing paper when applied. If it is only opened from one end, it will cause trouble for users. In order to quickly remove the backing paper, the middle of the backing paper can be used to cut off the bottom paper. For example, some express postal labels use the back-cutting process to quickly remove the backing paper when it is applied.

3. The purpose of the special process. With a partial backcut, the positive and negative sides of the circular die cutting roll are die cut together. Since the back of the label on the back of the label is cut off (usually a closed pattern), the back cut back paper is integrated with the label fabric when the label is removed from the backing paper. This is equal to a portion of the back of the label that is not glued. This type of label is a special label used for special occasions, such as labels on socks, food sealing labels, and luggage labels used at airports.
