Sidel Launches New PET Packaging Line

At Interpack 2005, Sidel introduced the latest generation of technology solutions to enhance the performance of PET packaging lines.

Sidel reduced the cost of PET blowing by 20% compared to the SBO series. Three years of intense R&D work has made it possible to produce 0.25 L to 3 L plastic bottles at extremely high speeds. These efforts are not only aimed at the top performance and reliability of the blow molding machines, they also involve a full blown bottle development program specifically targeted at high speed applications.

At the same time, Sidel has reached new heights in expanding the operating time of blow molding machines. The new generation of machines is a response to market changes, where immediate production, shorter production cycles, increased production, multiple specifications and more complex packaging have become commonplace. In addition to the faster bottle change, the new blow molding machine also requires a 25% shorter maintenance time, which further extends the operating time.
