Nike automatic lace-up sneakers come out next year or can be popularized

For sci-fi fans, October 21, 2015 is a significant day. Because in the second part of the classic sci-fi movie "Back to the Future" series, Michael J. Fox's character Martin Seamus McFly took the opportunity to come to the day. Although the future depicted in the film is not completely realized, at least the automatic sneakers (Nike Mag) worn by the protagonist have indeed come true.

Although Nike launched a pair of Mag in 2011, it did not use the automatic lace-up technology we saw in the movie. But don't worry, Nike has confirmed that the real Marty McFly sneakers will meet us next spring.

Tinker Hatfield, senior vice president of Nike's creative concept, who once designed Mag sports shoes, confirmed the news. He also wrote in a letter to Fox: "Although this project started with science fiction, we are now very proud to turn it into reality."

According to a representative of Nike, the first pair of automatic Nike Mag laces are now in New York. As for the specific limited edition sneakers, it is interesting to say. Fox will be the guest to participate in the recording of the latest issue of Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the pair of Nike Mag may appear on this TV show. Although Nike has not announced its price, it is similar to the original Nike Mag, it will be sold in the form of an auction, and the proceeds will be used for Michael J. Fox's research on Parkinson's disease (Fox himself is a Parkinson's patients).

Nike said that this automatic lace-laying technology is still in its infancy, and they are currently conducting extensive testing to bring them to other sports shoes in the future.
