Pos industry is hot, scan code payment is fast, the latest data of the central bank!

Today, the People's Bank of China officially announced the overall operation of the payment system in 2017. From the central bank data, we can see that the POS industry is still developing rapidly. With the introduction and implementation of the new policy of the central bank for the scan code, it is believed that the rapid growth period will be further ushered in 2018.

The data shows that as of the end of 2017, bank card interbank payment system networked merchants 25.626,000, networked pos machine 31.18 million, ATM 96,600 units, an increase of 5,524,400, 6,653,600 and 36,400 respectively.

The number of POS machines per 10,000 people in the country was 225.56, an increase of 26.04% year-on-year, and the number of ATMs per 10,000 people was 6.95, an increase of 3.06%.

In 2017, China's card issuance has maintained steady growth. As of the end of 2017, the number of card issued in China was 6.693 billion, and the number of bank cards per capita was 4.84, an increase of 8.35%. Among them, the per capita holding of credit cards was 0.39, a year-on-year increase of 25.82%. The number of bank cards has increased, thanks to the continuous improvement of the current market environment.

The bank issued the “Overall Situation of the Payment System in 2017” (hereinafter referred to as the “Report”). The report mentioned that the mobile payment business maintained a rapid growth. The report shows that online payment business is 48.478 billion, amounting to 2075.59 trillion yuan, the number of pens increased by 5.2% year-on-year, the amount decreased by 0.47%; mobile payment business of 37.552 billion, the amount of 202.93 trillion yuan, an increase of 46.06% and 28.8% respectively .

In addition, as of the end of 2017, a total of 248 commercial banks and 65 payment institutions have access to the networked platform, and the networked platform has been running smoothly. Each payment institution sequentially switches the network payment service involving the bank account from the direct connection channel to the network connection platform.
