The sand dust test chamber is mainly used to test the shell sealing performance of the product, and is tested according to the IP5X and IP6X levels specified in the enclosure protection level standard. The GB/T10485 standard stipulates that in order to determine the dustproofness of automotive lighting and optical signal devices, it is necessary to use a dustproof test box. The following are the main test procedures:

First, the test conditions:

1. A new cleaning sample should be used;

2. The maximum illuminance value or maximum illuminance value of the sample shall be tested before and after the test;

3. The sample is protected according to the loading condition and installed on the test stand;

4. The test dust is composed of 50% ordinary Portland cement and 50% coal ash (weight ratio), and the particle size distribution is: particle size ≤ 32 μm: 33 parts; 32 μm ≤ particle size ≤ 250 μm: 67 parts.

5. Temperature 23 ° C ± 5 ° C, relative humidity 25% ~ 75%, pressure 86kPa ~ 106kPa.

Second, the test method:

1. According to the volume of the sand test chamber, add the test dust in the amount of 2kg/m3;

2. The distance between the sample and the wall of the box should be no less than 150mm;

3. The sample is opened with a drain hole or other opening, and subjected to 20 cycles of test, each cycle of dust for 6 s, followed by an interval of 15 min.

Third, the result is judged:

After the sand dust test is over, the maximum illuminance value or maximum illuminance value of the sample should not be reduced by more than 10% before the test.
