Two pressure differences in flexographic printing operations

There are two kinds of pressure in the flexo printing operation: one is the pressure of the anilox roller on the plate roller, which is called the inking pressure; the other is the pressure of the plate roller on the platen roller, which is called the printing pressure. These two pressures have been controlled by the captain in the past. The key to the level of the captain is that the two pressure adjustments are good. The captain should take the following measures when manually adjusting the pressure: 1 adjust the ink pressure to make the printing plate evenly spread around the ink; 2 adjust the printing pressure to make the dot expansion within the allowable range; 3 fine-tune the ink pressure to the outlet point is not round The entire critical point is then slightly pressurized. Pay special attention to the third step, because this is a specific measure of printing pressure from qualitative control to quantitative control. When we produce a line of 175 lines/inch and 1% minimum dot products, we control it in this way.

If the two printing pressures are not properly controlled, the dots will be defective. As shown in Fig. 5, the upper layer of the deep blue dot of the a picture is severely deformed, indicating that the printing pressure is too large; the red dot of the b picture is crescent-shaped, indicating that the ink pressure is small; the green dot of the d picture is elliptical, and the middle is deep. The shallow edge indicates that the ink pressure and printing pressure are too large; only the dot of the c-picture is full and round, indicating that the pressure is appropriate. Therefore, we must pay attention to the characteristics of the outlets in production.

It is worth noting that for offset printing , the dot is strong and full, because the offset printing problem exists in the offset printing, and it is difficult to complete the flat clothing in the outlet; but for the flexo printing, the solid dot is not completely derogatory. Pay attention to the risk of excessive expansion of outlets. Experience has shown that the shape deformation of the dot is related to the printing pressure (for example, the dot becomes elliptical, which is often caused by excessive printing pressure; if the dot is not completely printed, the printing pressure is too small), and the ink deformation of the dot is the same as the ink. Pressure related. The printing pressure is intuitive and easy to control, and the ink pressure is often overlooked. Although these two pressures have an impact on dot expansion, the risk of blocking is greater due to ink pressure.

Distinguishing these two kinds of pressures has very important practical significance, which is beneficial for production managers to issue accurate instructions to guide the first-line operation, and to eliminate quality hazards through the standardization of operations. Therefore, production managers and captains must master this technology. Moreover, since the quality control of flexo printing is focused on process control and focuses on process control, quality control technicians must master this technology to monitor whether the pressure is appropriate and in place on the production line, rather than waiting for the product to be printed. Re-work after passing the test and even return it by the customer.
