Specializing in residential and office furnishings, Knoll continues to push boundaries with its latest line of products on display at Salone del Mobile 2017. The brand has extended its collaboration with renowned designer Piero Lissoni, who has introduced iconic pieces such as the Grasshopper table and a new collection of tables that beautifully merge modernity with tradition.
Today, we're highlighting six standout pieces from the event—each one a testament to Knoll’s commitment to exceptional design. Among them is the Grasshopper table, designed by Piero Lissoni, which features a unique structure that offers both functionality and visual appeal.
Another highlight is the Avio sofa system, which has been enhanced with a new, relaxed and informal style. Lissoni describes the Avio as a piece that can "move" to suit the user's needs, featuring a hidden yet appealing mechanism inspired by motorbike detailing. This innovation makes the sofa both practical and visually striking.
Also featured is Matrioska, a system of open and closed containers that play with light and shadow to create a sense of simplicity and fluidity. Each component reveals its structure while maintaining a minimal aesthetic, reflecting Lissoni's vision of a "house within a house."
In addition to these new designs, the Knoll booth also showcases classic pieces such as the Womb Chair by Eero Saarinen and the Platner Dining Table by Warren Platner. These timeless creations continue to inspire and define modern interiors.
The installation titled “This Is Knoll,†designed by OMA, captures the essence of the brand through a vibrant mix of colors, styles, and materials. It highlights the seamless blend of contemporary and classic elements that have made Knoll a leader in the world of design.
