Advances in research on polyacid-based porous materials can adsorb nerve poison gas simulants

China Education Equipment Purchasing Network News: According to Northeast Normal University, recently, Professor Liu Shuxia, Professor Su Zhongmin and PhD student Ma Fengji of the School of Chemistry of the school have made new progress in the study of polyacid-based porous materials, which can remove ester poisonous gases by simple hydrolysis reaction. It is of great significance to purify and decompose volatile toxic substances.

This study used the template action of polyoxometalates (POMs) to obtain a series of porous metal-organic framework (MOFs) materials with a classic zeolite structure sodalite topology. The unique structural characteristics make this material have strong adsorption performance for the neurotoxic gas simulant dimethyl methyl phosphate, and it can remove ester poisonous gas through a simple hydrolysis reaction, which is of great significance for purification and decomposition of volatile toxic substances. It also provides a new idea for constructing functional porous materials.

It is reported that the paper jointly completed by the above persons was published in the internationally renowned journal "American Chemical Society Journal" (J Am Chem Soc, 2011, 133, 4178–4181. IF = 8.58). (Viewing)
