On May 18th, Golania Electric held the opening ceremony of the Shanghai flagship store on Kaixuan Road. The internationally renowned designer Ora-to took the opportunity to launch the opening ceremony with Oran-Ito white kitchen appliances named after him in collaboration with Gorenje. Ora-to is a versatile designer. His work includes architecture, interior decoration, products, and even networking, audiovisual and graphic design. It also includes advertising for some brands, public relations campaigns, and more. In addition to the futuristic kitchen designed for Gorenje, he is an environmentally friendly product for well-known furniture and lighting brands such as Zanotta, Cappellini, Artemide, Italian B&B and Frighetto.


[Reporter]: Ora-?to is a very experienced designer. How do you want to maintain the diversity of design? Generally, if you have your own inspiration, is it still a professional team to discuss this matter?


[Ora-to]: It’s just that I personally have some ideas, some personal ideas plus implementation. Not only the design but also the industry, in addition to my design team, as well as the industry team, everyone came to discuss.


[Reporter]: On the design of kitchen appliances, what is the difficulty? How to combine it with some of China's living habits?


[Ora-to]: The biggest difference between China and foreign countries is the round bottom type pot for cooking in China. The foreign country is a pan. This is the biggest difference. I am going to design this pot in the future, which is to design the wok for the Chinese market. I am still thinking about this. Mainly foreign foods are not as much as fried, and Chinese food is more fried. So I will design some products according to the Chinese culture.

[Reporter]: I noticed that you first cooperated with Gorenje to launch the Ora-ito black series of kitchen appliances. In 2007, in 2008, the black series of kitchen appliances was introduced. This year, the products launched in the flagship store in Shanghai are classics from previous years. ?


[Ora-to]: I don't want to follow the trend according to the trend. I hope that every design concept will come up with different ideas, different ideas, and some themes and concepts. I don't want to go with this trend toward this trend. For me, every design of his, I will feel very classic. You have to say which is the most classic, I can't tell you, but every old one is good, new one is also very classic. My creativity doesn't need to follow the trend, I am not creating trends, I have some of my ideas.


[Reporter]: Ora-?to is not only cooking kitchen, you also do architectural and indoor, and even online advertising graphic design, which is not imaginable in China, because Chinese designers are focused on one aspect. Are there more designers like you in foreign countries? In addition, the biggest difficulty in cross-industry and cross-domain design is where?

[Ora-to]: I don't like to be a product exclusively. It is more challenging for me to cross-industry, and I can further realize my ideas.


[Reporter]: Mr. Ora-?to, you started from the establishment of virtual brand, this idea is very special, why is there such an inspiration at that time?

[Ora-to]: I used to think about virtual things, and then I did it myself and sent it to the website. I have seen the design of the product, such as LV manufacturers. Some of my products, some customers will go to the LV store, I want this design package, do you have it? That person didn't know where this was, just looking for this product, and later the media found me.


[Reporter]: There is still another question. What kind of project are you busy with now? What are the plans for the next step? What is the goal of designing your personal development?


[Ora-to]: I opened a small hotel in Paris. It is very special. I have a brand of my own. This brand is not a product. He has architecture and others.


[Reporter]: What is your ultimate goal?


[Ora-to]: It is to make life more perfect.
