There are many ways to produce color boxes and it is difficult to make direct comparisons. However, we refer to direct printing on corrugated board as a type of direct printing, and to printing on corrugated white paper or single sheet of white paper and then to corrugated board. Comparing the two production methods, direct printing has two defects: First, due to the influence of corrugated crests and wave troughs of the imprinted corrugated board, the “cooking board effect” under the same printing pressure is difficult to print out. Color box screen, so that the sale of color boxes, advertising effect greatly reduced; Second, corrugated cardboard in the printing process, the corrugated paper by the print pressure damage, causing varying degrees of damage to corrugated shape, affecting the strength of corrugated boxes.

Compared with direct printing, color box preprinting has obvious advantages. However, the best method of pre-printing is volume-to-volume color box production.

There are three methods for producing pre-printed color boxes. The production of beer boxes is used as an example. The first one is to print a color picture by a sheet-fed offset press and then to produce a color box with a single corrugated cardboard. This method is limited by the width of the offset press, generally only two boxes can be produced, and the box nails are exposed, affecting the appearance; if you want to make a single box you must add or find a full-open offset press, which increases the investment cost And collaboration is difficult.

The second is to use flexo or gravure web rotary printing. If the factory or the cooperating customer does not have an automatic corrugation line, the color roll must be cut into single sheets to complete the composite of corrugated paper and color surface on the twisting machine. Made into the box. This can produce monolithic color boxes.

The third type is the collaborative production of color boxes by roll-to-roll printing and automated corrugated production lines. The printing plant uses a flexo or gravure web transfer machine to print the color surface, and the cooperative corrugated box factory places the color roll on the noodle paper station to produce the color plate with the process of making the corrugated paper, and then makes a color box. This method gives full play to the advantages of automatic and high-speed equipment for printing presses and corrugating machines. The produced boxboards are beautiful, smooth, and high in strength, and have high production efficiency. They can meet the demands of market customers for color boxes and promote roll-to-roll pre-rolling. Printing box industry development.
