The Corrugated Cardboard Recycling Marking System is a measure taken by the International Corrugated Box Alliance to cater for recycling systems and environmental regulations. The basic requirement of this system is that the corrugated products should be coated or untreated (such as wax coating) and can be directly pulped and made into paper. Companies that meet this requirement can apply to join the system and print specific signs on corrugated boxes. After such a carton is used, it can directly enter the recycling system for beating, saving the cost of sorting.

International Corrugated Box Alliance

The International Corrugated Cardboard Consortium (ICCA) was established in 1963. It has 13 members, 20 corporate members and a permanent secretariat in Illinois, USA. The purpose of ICCA is to promote the overall development of the international corrugated box industry and strengthen the exchange and cooperation among members. Its main functions include collecting, sorting, and disseminating statistical data on the corrugated box industry in the world; providing members with industry information and publications to facilitate the members' international business; and holding association councils to exchange and share information data. ).

In 2001, China Packaging Technology Association (CPTA), as the only legal representative of China's corrugated industry, formally joined ICCA and was responsible for promoting the use of internationally common “corrugated-article recycling marks” in the corrugated box industry in China. This is to implement the relevant regulations of the International Union of Wages and promote and regulate it. The recycling of Chinese packaging products also facilitates the export of Chinese corrugated cartons and cartons.

The international "Corrugated Products Recycling Mark" is registered under the authority of the International Corrugated Board Alliance and registered by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of China. The China Packaging Technology Association is responsible for the promotion and use in China.

When using “corrugated products recycling mark” in China, the size of the icons and text can be adjusted proportionally, the color is black, and the printing position is not specified; “registration number” is not within the scope of business registration, there is no specific regulation, but must be with icons, The text is printed together.

When used on export packaging, Chinese characters can be omitted due to different exporting countries. Only the logo and registration number are printed. The color is black and the size can be adjusted on a pro-rata basis.

Chinese enterprises reporting method

The reporting company must meet two conditions: one is a corrugated product enterprise with an independent corporate legal person qualification in China; the other is that its corrugated product is not coated or otherwise treated (such as waxing) and can be directly pulped and paper-making.

The application procedure is as follows:

1. Fill in the application form in duplicate and submit the seal to the China Packaging Technology Association after the unit is stamped;

2, with a copy of the business license;

3, with the product inspection report of the year;

4. The company promised to obtain the product certification issued by the China Packaging Product Certification Center within three years of use of the logo;

5. After being approved by the China Association of Public Security, after stamping the official seal of the Association and giving the registration number, the reporting company shall have the right to use the mark;

6. The logo use company shall report the usage of the logo of the previous year to the China Packaging Technology Association before the end of January each year.

7. Enterprises that use this logo will be reported to the General Administration of Customs of China by the China Association for Packaging Services.

The sign is valid for three years. The continuation user shall apply for the continuation formalities three months prior to the expiry of the validity period. Units that have not applied for continuation shall not continue to use the sign. Companies that use the mark illegally will be investigated for legal responsibility and be given financial penalties.
