Carbon fiber case
Containing 40% carbon, LUMINOX's carbon shell is three times lighter than titanium but is still highly durable, scratch-resistant, chemical and heat resistant. LUMINOX this time using an unprecedented way to create the case, previously it mixed polymer and toner, but now, the use of carbon rod instead. Comfort and performance
The new Luminos Carbon SEAL watch is great. In terms of comfort and reliability, I think good grades. Water resistant to 300 meters / 1,000 feet, can withstand the incredible pressure diving deep sea diving. The 3800 Series has been designed with an extra thick sapphire crystal and a stainless steel back cover to ensure its water resistance.
Case texture is good, not very smooth, but not rough. The unidirectional rotating bezel is well-positioned, but it feels a little bit weaker because it slips slightly. But beyond that, the overall quality is pretty good.
LUMINOX deuterium lamp luminous
LUMINOX uses a miniature tritium gas tube for luminous indication; deuterium is a radioactive material that can be illuminated for up to 25 years. Unlike conventional luminescent materials, it must absorb light before it glows in the dark; tritium gas tubes are constantly glowing without the need for external energy to absorb light and luminescence.
Summary thinking
Luminos Carbon SEAL 3800 series watch is a real tool watch, carbon fiber case looks good. I remember Audemars Piguet had cast a carbon watch before, and now Luminox is made at affordable prices for the general public. Quartz movement is not a big deal here.
