New PET plastic beer bottle in the world

The number of beer packed in 0.5-litre PET bottles on the German market has soared. Due to its light weight (only 28g) and high output, this single-layer PET bottle will gain a larger market share.

At present, some German distributors have started using PET bottles for various beverages. The beer bottle produced by the Belgian brewery Martens Company uses the Actis barrier coating technology of Sidel of France, which is coated with a very thin layer of carbide on the inner wall of a single-layer PET bottle. Martens company has three sets of Actis 20 coating equipment, PET bottle production capacity of 180 million / year, is the world's largest beer packaging barrier PET bottle production line.

The design department of the company Sidel in France is responsible for the design of this new bottle. Its specifications and appearance are all computerized and structurally analyzed to allow the bottle to achieve an optimized quality/performance ratio. To reduce the cost, a lot of work was done to reduce the weight of the bottle. In the end, the half-liter beer bottle weighed only 28g, and it is said to be the lightest PET beer bottle in the world.
