Introduction of standard operating procedures for ozone gas detection tubes

1. Testing tools

1.1 Vacuum sampler (100ml)

1.2 Ozone gas detection tube (O3, 2-50ppm)

1.3 Stopwatch

2. Detection method

2.1 Check whether the handle of the vacuum sampler is at the zero position and whether the red dot of the handle sampling mark is aligned with the sampling line of the sampler barrel If not, restore the zero position and align the red dot of the handle sampling mark with the sampling line of the sampler barrel.

2.2 Insert the seal of the gas detection tube into the round hole on the side of the front of the sampler before the measurement, and successively skim off the gas outlet and inlet end seals of the detection tube. Check the opening of the head, it should be open, otherwise it will be broken again.

2.3 Insert the outlet end of the gas detection tube into the inlet of the sampler and plug it tightly.

2.4 Receive the measuring air at the inlet of the measuring tube, pull the sampler handle to the second gear position, pull it back and forth once, observe the stopwatch, and control the air intake time for 2 to 3 minutes (0.6 to 0.9 mm / sec). 100ml.

2.5 When the indicator color change (blue → white) in the detection tube is terminated, remove the detection tube, read the ozone concentration from the white column to the scale.

2.6 Return the vacuum sampler handle to zero position.

3. Matters needing attention

3.1 The ozone gas detection tube should be kept in a dark place. Check the color of the indicator before use, it should be blue, and it should not be used if it changes color.

3.2 The operator should practice controlling the air intake speed (2 to 3 minutes, handle speed 0.6 to 0.9 mm / sec) before use to ensure the reliability of the test results.

3.3 Sampling personnel should wear gas masks during sampling to prevent ozone poisoning.
