In contrast, the non-contact online color detection system maintains a certain distance between the product and the detection instrument when performing color detection, and can also directly detect the product on the production line, breaking through the limitations of the traditional color detection method.
Generally, the non-contact online color detection system includes color detection instruments, control software and auxiliary equipment. Color testing instruments are mainly used to test products to get the original color data. The software is mainly used to control instruments and analyze data. Non-contact color detection system can detect non-planar products. Although the traditional inspection system can also inspect some non-planar products with the assistance of some fixtures, the accuracy of this inspection method is not satisfactory. Under normal circumstances, when testing granular and powder products such as masterbatch, the instrument needs to be detected through the glass. Due to the limitation of the measurement area and the uncertainty of the particle arrangement and the influence of the glass, the repeatability of the measurement is often not guaranteed. Non-contact measurement can avoid the influence of the container. At the same time, due to the larger measurement area, the influence of the product arrangement on the measurement result can be significantly weakened, so that it is easier to obtain accurate color data.
In addition, the non-contact detection system can also detect wet samples, such as wet paint scraping samples. Traditional instruments are difficult to measure this kind of wet sample, because the direct measurement will pollute or even damage the instrument. Online inspection can monitor the quality of each product on the production line in real time and enhance color adhesion, which not only helps reduce production waste, but also effectively improves production efficiency. "Online" here has two meanings: one refers to the installation of the inspection system on the production line, and the second refers to the connection of the inspection system to the control system of the production line.
Traditional color inspection usually lags behind production. When it is detected that the product has a color problem, many or a large number of unqualified products have been produced, which in turn leads to waste of materials, and online testing can overcome this shortcoming. For example, in the production process of building profiles, the product inspection system can be installed on the extruder. When the product reaches the detection position or the set time limit, the detection system will automatically detect the color of the product and obtain real-time color data in time. In this way, before cutting the product, you can grasp the quality of the product in detail, and you can adjust it immediately if there is a problem. During the inspection process, the product does not need to leave the production line nor stop the production of the production line, therefore, greatly saving time and labor costs.
Connect the detection system to the control system of the production line to form a closed-loop control system. When the color data does not meet the requirements, the detection system can issue a warning to the control system, or even stop production directly.
