Corrugated paper performance characteristics

Corrugated paper is also known as corrugated paper and corrugated paper. It is a low-volume, thin, lightweight paperboard with a basis weight of between 112 and 200 g/m2. Corrugated paper is mainly used as a corrugating medium for corrugated board, and the amount is very large. Corrugated paper is generally made from groundwood pulp, semi-chemical pulp, straw pulp, waste pulp, etc., and is also manufactured from mixed pulp. Most of the domestic corrugated papers are mainly straw pulp, with some chemical pulp or waste pulp, and some are all made of straw pulp or waste pulp. At the same basis weight, the base paper made from semi-chemical pulp has more than double the compressive performance than straw paper.

The corrugated paper should ensure uniform fibrous structure, uniform width of the entire width, flat paper surface, no folds, cracks, holes, and large slugs, etc., and require close quality, toughness, certain tensile strength and bursting resistance, and moisture. It is (10±2)%. Moisture is an important quality standard for corrugated paper. When the moisture is too large, the paper body will be soft, the stiffness will be poor, the pressure will not be corrugated, the glue will not be eaten, and it will not be easily bonded. On the contrary, when the water content is too low, the paper will be brittle. It is easy to crack when pressing the corrugated.
