3.5 True Random Number Generator This series of chips can generate true random numbers with white noise. This random number generator has been certified by the German testing agencies Debis and BSI and passed the FIPS-140 compliant test. The conclusions of the neutral evaluation agency TüViT after testing prove that the RNG of the hardware built-in true random number generator in the chip card controller is superior to other similar products, ideally meeting the requirements of digital signature cards. In an application, RNG can be used to generate a key that fully complies with the encryption requirements.
Due to the performance of RNG, the smart card uses the SLE66CX320P controller to provide significant security features for signature applications. In such applications, the private key must be absolutely secure because the key is generated by the controller and permanently stored on the smart card.
3.6 UART module supporting serial interface Like computer system, 66P chip also has built-in UART module to manage I/O specifically to reduce CPU load and realize parallel operation. The UART supports T=0, T=1 half-duplex communication protocol, and the relevant transmission parameters such as the number of stop bits can be set by software.
3.7 I/O Interface Interrupt Module The 16-bit timer and interrupt logic specifically support timing applications.
