Developer Fixing Principle

1. Fixer: It is recommended to use F-5 acid fixer

Sodium thiosulfate (Hypo) 240.0g

Anhydrous sodium sulfite 15.0g

28% acetic acid 48ml

Boric acid 7.5g

Potassium cesium 15.0g

Add water to 1000ml

The function of the fixing is to remove the photosensitive emulsion on the film, so it is necessary to ensure that all of these emulsions are clean. Use fresh acid fixer for 5-10 minutes.

2. Development: It is recommended to use D-23, D-76 developer

Clear water (52°C) 750ml 750ml

Moutol (Mado) 7.5g 2.0g

Anhydrous sodium sulfite 100.0g 100.0g

Hydroquinone (Jian'an) 5.0g

Borax 2.0g

Add water to 1000ml 1000ml

The preparation must be dissolved in the above order to prepare, use the original solution, no dilution, temperature 20 °C, development time 6-10 minutes.

The contrast of the film changes with the intensity of the development stirring, and the faster the stirring, the higher the contrast. The development process should control the stirring intensity.

If necessary, the development time can be appropriately extended to increase the film speed.

3, stop the image: This is to stop the development process, after developing the film immersed in 2% glacial acetic acid solution for 20 seconds.

4. Washing: Rinse with running water for at least 15 minutes.

5. Drying: In order to avoid water stains during drying and affect the production of photos, you can use a special sponge (foam) or a large piece of absorbent cotton that squeezes out the water to gently dry the water stains on the surface, and then hang it to dry. Drying can be done in a drying cabinet at a temperature of 30-40°C or at a clean, dust-free place at room temperature.
