Prefabricated film of packaged food and its manufacturing method

The present invention relates to a film (3) for use in food packaging made from edible or non-edible materials. The film is curved along a longitudinal axis to form a cylinder. The sides of the film overlap to a certain degree, and the film is pleated or creased into an accordion form, thereby forming a fold that is perpendicular to the cylindrical axis. The cylinder may comprise a rigid material tube (1) as an internal support, which may be coated on the outside with a barrier layer (5) and a tubular mesh (6) which is also shirred. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing the above-mentioned film (3).
