Plymouth, United States, September 13, 2004 - Primera Technologies today announced the LX800 Color Label Printer, a high-performance inkjet-based label printer. It can print a label with a minimum size of 38mm x 75mm, a maximum of 210mm x 610mm, and a print resolution of up to 4800 x 1200 dpi.
Applications for this high-quality color printer include basic product labels, box-end labels with images, and various other retail, office, and industrial labels. The LX800 is easy to install and operate. It comes with a print driver for Windows® 2000 XP and NiceLabelTM ME, a label design software. Almost all other Windows operating system-based label design software can use this printer. It is interconnected with the computer through a high-speed USB 2.0 interface.
Prior to this, users who wanted to print colored labels had only two choices: (1) Pre-printed the color labels or images on blank labels, and then printed them with a monochrome thermal transfer printer. (2) Buy a thermal transfer printer that costs as much as $18,000 to $33,000 and has a print resolution of only 600 dpi.
With the LX800, any combination of text, graphics, logos, and images can be printed in full color, with a resolution of up to 4800 dpi. All fonts on a PC can also be printed on labels. The printing speed should be based on the specific design of the label. The printable area per second is typically 38mm x 51mm (25% coverage). (Finish)
