Infiltration drying ink inspection

(1) Principle of inspection: This method is applicable to inks with osmotic drying as the dry test. At regular intervals, the ink on the newsprint and the blank newsprint are rubbed under certain pressure until the blank newsprint is no longer valid. When dyeing due to friction, the scratching time of the scratching is calculated, and the dryness of the ink is expressed by this method. This method is applicable to the determination of the dryness of printed ink, printed ink, and ink.

(2) Tools and Materials:

1 A piece of square glass with a weight of 2±0.15 g. The glass piece has a side length of 20 mm and a thickness of 2 mm.

2 10 grams of weight one;

3 Newsprint cut into 15 x 11 cm;

4 Ink knife and squeegee;

5 timekeeping clocks.

(3) Inspection methods:

1 Place a small amount of the tested ink on the newsprint with a knife and use a doctor blade to force the ink from the top down to a thin layer. The thin layer of scraped ink is about 4-5 cm wide and about 12 cm long (not shorter than 10 cm).

2 Record the time that the ink sample is good. Place the sample on a smooth glass plate (ink sample up) after 15 minutes. The top is covered with another blank newsprint and rubbed along the scraping side of the strip.

3 Grasp the other end of the blank news paper quickly and move it in the direction of scratching, so that the newsprint will rub against the scratch under the pressure of the glass sheet and the weight.

4 Check whether the newsprint is stained. If it is still dyed, repeat the above test at a different position with a new newsprint at a later time until the newsprint is not dyed. Then calculate the time required for the ink sample to be scraped until no staining on the newsprint after the test is the drying time.
